Get subsidies to train and upskill your employees or hire new ones through special job schemes.

    Job rotation

You have the opportunity to send an employee for further education while a temporary worker handles the job during the training period. Your company receives DKK 193.11 for each hour the employee is in training.

This way, you can upskill your employee and bring new knowledge to your company, while also helping an unemployed person get closer to self-sufficiency.

    Adult Apprentices and Apprentices

With the adult apprentice scheme, you get an employee over 25 years old who has gained some experience in the labor market and is now seeking an apprenticeship in your company’s industry. The subsidy for your adult apprentice varies depending on the level of education and whether the person is unemployed:

    • Unemployed unskilled or unemployed skilled with outdated education - DKK 45 per hour throughout the training period.
    • Unemployed skilled with more than 3 months of unemployment - DKK 45 per hour throughout the training period.
    • Employed and unskilled - DKK 30 per hour for up to 2 years.

    Wage subsidy

As a private company, you can receive DKK 83.89 per paid working hour for a candidate who is eligible for a wage subsidy. You can hire a person with a wage subsidy if they have been unemployed for 6 months. However, there are special rules that apply if the person is over 50 years old, a single parent, or does not have a general or vocational education.

The scheme provides an opportunity to assess the candidate’s professional and social interaction with the rest of the company’s employees before a potential regular employment. The wage subsidy can be arranged for a duration of 1 to 6 months.

    Company Internship

As a company, you can have an unemployed person in an internship without salary expenses – perhaps you have a specific project you want to realize? The purpose of an internship is to strengthen the professional, social, or language skills of the intern. Company internships usually last 4 weeks but can extend up to 13 weeks. Generally, the internship should be within normal working hours and should not exceed the standard full-time work week.
