Initiative 1: Strengthening Business Networks, Cultural Life, and Collaborations

Application Requirements: 

Local stakeholders can apply for up to DKK 150,000 to strengthen business networks, culture, and collaborations. The aim is to engage businesses and cultural actors even more in urban development to enhance city life and attract more visitors to Frederiksberg. 

The initiative encourages one or more business and cultural actors to take on a local, coordinating role in strengthening city life. Examples of actions could include:

• Several stakeholders collaborating to develop new offerings such as 'pop-up' stores focused on culture in the main shopping streets or working on local community building.
• Further developing existing offerings such as events and activities.

The initiative involves identifying key individuals or actors, communication, coordination, and community building. Activities will be evaluated and their impact measured by the coordinating actor after the initiative concludes.

Initiative 2: 'This is Frederiksberg' Core Narrative 

Application Requirements: 

Local stakeholders can apply for up to DKK 200,000 in 2025 for programs centered around the 'This is Frederiksberg' core narrative for businesses.

The goal is to inspire the business community to incorporate the core narrative into their own marketing and offerings.

The program may include (the list is not exhaustive):

• Offering support in business development, such as digital marketing opportunities and the use of social media.
• Inspiration for matchmaking and/or partnerships between stakeholders.
• Workshops or individual coaching sessions.

We emphasize that the applicant has a coordinating role and that programs are developed and conducted with the maximum number of participants and the greatest possible value.

Activities will be evaluated and their impact measured by the applicant after the initiative ends.

Initiative 3. Strengthening Frederiksberg's Hospitality and Tourist Information 

Application Requirements:

Local stakeholders can apply for up to DKK 100,000 to strengthen Frederiksberg’s tourist information and hospitality.

The funding supports the following activities: (The list is not exhaustive)

• Enhancing digital opportunities, collaborations, and connections between communication platforms and tourism promotion.
• Strengthening the city's hospitality and information for tourists and other visitors. Activities may include improving mutual knowledge between stakeholders and awareness of "what’s happening in the city." This could take place through inspirational meetings or individual sessions with business and cultural actors.
• Strengthening the city’s hospitality for international residents and students. The initiative could involve a collaboration between the municipality, universities, and businesses.

The Municipality of Frederiksberg plays the coordinating role in strengthening Frederiksberg’s hospitality and tourist information in collaboration with the applicant, who is responsible for executing the initiative. The initiative will be evaluated and its impact measured by the Municipality of Frederiksberg in cooperation with the applicant after the initiative ends.

There is DKK 100,000 allocated to the fund to strengthen the business community and local initiatives with a commercial focus in Frederiksberg. This could include initiatives that make temporary use of the city’s spaces, such as physical installations, events, or finding new ways to utilize the urban space. Perhaps you have ideas for cultural contributions, new street furniture, or ways the city can be used in new and exciting ways. The fund can support projects with amounts ranging from DKK 10,000 to DKK 25,000, and it is a requirement that at least two businesses collaborate on the project. All ideas are welcome!
